Theory Test

The Theory Test is split into 2 parts, the Theory Test and the Hazard Perception Test. You need to be 17 years old before you are allowed to take this test. You must pass both of these tests to pass the theory test and be able to take your driving test. This is a computer based test.

Theory Test
The Theory Test consists of 50 multiple choice questions and you need to answer at least 43 correctly to pass.

Hazard Perception Test
The Hazard Perception Test consists of 14 video clips containing 15 hazards which you must identify by clicking on a mouse button as if you where in the car driving down the road. You can score 5 points for spotting the hazard at the earliest opportunity sliding down to 0 points for spotting the hazard too late. You must obtain 44 points out of a possible 75 points to pass.

Brian can recommend books, CDs and DVDs to help with study for these tests and help can be given on lessons if required towards these tests.
